On April 1st, 2019, Ms. Renata Piwowarska, the director of the Commission on Passengers' Rights, was appointed by the President of the Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Piotr Samson, to act as the Passengers’ Rights Ombudsman.
A graduate of the Management Faculty, European Law Faculty and the Law and Administration Faculty at the University of Warsaw . Currently, she is studying Mediation in economic matters at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź.
Professionally involved in consumer protection for over 20 years. She worked at the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, then at the Office of Electronic Communications, and now she is employed by the Civil Aviation Authority. An ISO auditor. Invited to the ZnaneEkspertki.pl project.
She has a wide experience in resolving disputes with the participation of both individual entities and entrepreneurs. She actively participates in trainings, simulations and projects related to the subject of mediation, negotiations and other methods of amicable resolution of consumer disputes.
She is a permanent court mediator entered on the list held by the President of the District Court in Warsaw and a mediator in the Lewiatan Mediation Center.
Her professional interests focus on aviation and the protection of consumer rights, in particular of airline passengers.
Privately, her hobby is interior decorating - she obtained a designer's diploma at the Luxury Academy of Architecture and Art - Faculty of Interior Architecture.
